Over the last 20 years, Penni has been an invaluable asset to Wilson Stevens. She “wrote the book” on the communication and artist development platforms we employ to this day. As former lead vocalist of the band EYE2EYE, Penni has a degree of General Business Entertainment experience that is virtually unmatched.
Originally from Virginia and South Carolina, Penni began her professional music career as a teen performing all over the DC area, including the White House, the Pentagon, and Mt Vernon. Once accepted to Berklee College of Music, she made the move North, completed her degree, and would eventually place roots in the New England Music Scene. Penni has performed for The Kraft Family, Hillary Clinton, and Mitt Romney, to name a few. She’s also had the privilege of performing in many of the region’s most illustrious venues, including The TD Garden, The Wang Center, The Hynes Convention Center, and Boston Symphony Hall. In addition to her role as Wilson Stevens’ VP Of Artist Relations, Penni is the lead vocalist for the original R&B/Soul band Penni Layne & the Wonder Boys, a songwriter and studio session arranger.
