Music Suggestions

This page includes insight into music selections for Wedding Ceremonies & Dinner/Dance formalities. Many of these songs are interchangeable. Above all else, wedding music is highly personal. We hope you’ll choose music that is meaningful to you!

Let’s start with the Wedding Ceremony…

Wedding Ceremony Music

When guests first arrive, they are greeted with Prelude music. This includes elegant background music we choose at our discretion in keeping with your other song selections.

From there, Ceremony Music is separated into 3 categories:

Processional: A song that accompanies the family/wedding party entry.

Entrance: The main event 🙂 …which begins once the Processional ends.

Recessional: Music that signals the conclusion of the Wedding Ceremony. This is traditionally bright, lively & fun.

We ask you to choose 1 song for the Processional, 1 song for the Entrance, and 1 song for the Recessional (3 songs total).

Dinner/Dance Reception Music

The conclusion of cocktails marks the beginning of the Dinner/Dance reception!

Introductions

Introductions can be as simple as announcing the newlyweds or as extensive as the entire wedding party. While you have the option to choose a specific song for your introductions, our preference is to perform upbeat, exciting, instrumental music of our choosing. This allows us to bring our volume down for announcing and bring it up for entrances. Songs with heavy lyrical content are problematic as we cannot sing and announce at the same time. If you prefer different songs for multiple sections of the wedding party, we can trigger these MP3s for you.

Last Dance

There are 2 schools of thought:

1) You choose a romantic ballad. This is followed by a wild, upbeat dance song to close the night. You may choose both. Or, if you don’t have anything in mind for the upbeat song, we’ll make the call.

2) You forgo the traditional ballad and end the evening with a wild dance song. You may choose this. Or, if you don’t have anything in mind, we’ll make the call and surprise you.
