We’re here to help so please let us know if you need anything! We’ll also contact you 4 months before your reception. We’ll have several forms we ask you to complete in addition to extensive dialogue and communication.
Our only deadline is you must finalize your music choices, timing, and services no later than 14 days before your event. Once under 14 days, everything is locked into place for final preparation. We cannot accept requests after that.
But don’t worry, we will have plenty of time!
This process is a compromise between two parties. We honor your preferences and ask you to trust our ability to call songs that create the best party possible.
Leading up to your event, you’ll complete a song list form and select every song you like. The more music you choose, the more beneficial the outcome. We’ll play roughly 15-20 of your picks at our discretion. You’ll also select all the music for your formal dances. Plus, we can learn two new songs that are not a regular part of our repertoire (pending our approval).
We are unable to perform with pre-determined setlists. However, your feedback heavily informs what we play.
While this may seem helpful, we have a system that results in countless amazing parties. Our song list form is a critical part of this system.
Our bands perform as set rosters. That said, personnel changes may occur due to sickness, availability or personal circumstances. Here is how we manage this:
At the core, WS is a talent management agency. We hire, train, and develop all our performers to our standards. When a change is necessary, we draw from our extensive network of top-tier talent throughout the Northeast; a network we’ve built over almost 40 years.
Simply put, we will have your back. That’s how we’ve remained successful at 25,000+ events throughout decades of inevitable changes. Ultimately, what we provide is an experience.
Personnel changes can happen in this industry, but if you trust our brand and track record, you’ll be thrilled with the outcome.
All our services require electricity. This aspect is critical. And not all electrical power is created equal. We need close, reliable electrical access, or we risk power loss.
* Most of our bands require (3) separate 20-amp circuits within 50 feet of the band.
* All our Ceremony and Cocktail Services require a minimum of (1) 20-amp circuit within 100 feet of the artist/equipment.
Please check the specifics in Rider A of our agreement, and let us know if you have any questions.
If your event will be held under a tent, please see the tent/staging language at the bottom of Rider A. These requirements (which include the need for staging) ensure a safe, successful, and uninterrupted performance.
If your reception is held in a tent or area that is not associated with a commercial property (such as a private residence or rustic field), we strongly recommend renting a Diesel Generator. A typical gasoline generator will not sufficiently power a band, and home electrical outlets can be problematic as well. Conversely, Diesel Generators are comparatively quiet, stable, reliable, and substantial enough to power a band, catering, and restrooms.
Note: The full band cannot perform in the “open air” without overhead covering under any circumstance.
First Payment: We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Check (any type of check).
Final Payment: This is due 14 days before the event by check and mailed to our office. We’ll reach out with a friendly reminder in the days leading up to this due date.
We cannot accept final payments on-site at the event or take credit cards for the balance. Thank you for your understanding.
