Some days just feel like they were meant to host a wedding. Such was the case on May 17th, when Carly and Stephen wed in perfect spring weather at Christ The King Parish in Mashpee. After the church ceremony, guests moved to the scenic Willowbend Country Club to bask in the late spring sun, as a perfect breeze fanned the affair which featured a performance by EYE2EYE.
The bride was effervescent in a blush gown, wrapped in ivory lace, organza and tulle with crystal beading. The groom and his entourage looked dapper in classic tuxedoes, while the bridesmaids wore black and white gowns. Silver lanterns and peonies and roses in blush shades peppered the crisp white room and its furnishings. Don’t let the pristine decor fool you, once EYE2EYE started up guests let loose on a packed dance floor all night long!

Great wedding band reviews are common here at Wilson Stevens, but sometimes a client goes above and beyond in praise of our artists. So once a month we like to feature our favorite, most touching, or just downright thoughtful testimonials on the Blog.

Wentworth By The Sea Wedding – December 31, 2013, Rye, NH
“We worked with Wilson Stevens and booked the band Eye 2 Eye for our New Years Eve wedding and one word – WOW! They were incredible! Everyone and I sincerely mean everyone has been asking about them, how I found them and just raving about how good they were. They were so upbeat, interacting with the crowd, so easy to work with and so incredibly talented. I was nervous about booking them at first cause they did get a new lead singer but he was AWESOME! Penni (the band contact) was also very helpful and responsive. I worked with Justin at Wilson Stevens to book the band and he was also great. I emailed him about a million times and he answered every question I had and didn’t give me a hard time about all the questions. Overall a great experience with amazing results. I highly recommend Eye 2 Eye and Wilson Stevens Productions!”

“We recently had the band Splash for our January wedding. They are absolutely amazing!! I had read lots of reviews about how great they were but they surpassed any expectation I had. Jen was so great before the wedding as she checked in with me a few days before to make sure that she had all the information she needed to make the night go smoothly. As soon as Splash started playing people were dancing and it didn’t stop all night! I have been told by so many of our guests that this was the best band they have ever heard perform at a wedding. Splash made sure that everyone had fun and helped to make the night absolutely perfect. Wilson Stevens was also wonderful to work with and was always ready to answer any questions I had.”
Myriad Ballroom Event – December 14, 2013, Mendon, MA
“If I had to sum up The Hub in one word I would say PHENOMENAL!!! The band had all the right music and segue ways to keep the draw and attention of our guests. They came into the crowd and integrated themselves into the dancing and made it super fun and energetic. They were a great group of singers. The female vocalist, along with the two gentlemen made an excellent team. The other band members and musicians were equally as good. The Hub really outdid themselves. Each of the band members were also very personable and professional.”
Amy and Tom’s summer backyard wedding, which featured a performance by EYE2EYE, was truly a tale of two cities, or rather, two countries! The couple met in high school in Massachusetts, Amy having grown up in Concord, Tom in England. But the couple only began dating when Amy moved to London after college. They decided to incorporate both sides of the pond in their August nuptials at Amy’s family home in Concord. The result was a bold, beautiful marriage of not just two people in love, but the countries they fell in love in as well.
Royal blue bridesmaids dresses and red bouquets provided an eye-catching contrast as the couple was wed under a white floral arbor by the Bride’s brother. Our favorite part was hands down the cocktail hour. Held under an amazing blue star tent and featuring a Pimm’s barn, it was truly a unique touch from this bi-continental couple.
Wendy Joblon Events nailed the reception tent, which overflowed with navy blue linens, gold accents and more red floral arrangements. They also had a surprise up their sleeves, a group of Broadway singers from New York that sang the couple not only their favorite tunes, but a few songs they had written just for them!
And finally, it was party time:
“The band was great and everyone danced into the wee hours of the night… and then back to the blue star tent for the after party, which went on until early morning. Sunday brunch was a great farewell to a weekend that most of the guests who attended will never forget.”
