Last week, the eyes of the world turned to Boston as 200 of its greatest figure skaters came to TD Garden to compete for the prized title of world champion. This was the first time The ISU World Figure Skating Championships®, the world’s most important annual skating competition, came to Boston in its 130-year history.
Naturally, when it came time to choose the entertainment for the week’s Closing Banquet, The Skating Club of Boston (who hosted the banquet) looked no further than Wilson Stevens.
Competitors and fans from around the world attended the Closing Banquet with a special invitation at The Marriott Copley Place Hotel. Thanks to the Beantown band, it was the perfect opportunity to let loose and dance the night away, celebrating a world-class week.
Between Lindsey Ocker‘s photography talents and Anne and Scot’s attention to detail, this West Newbury, MA wedding could hold its own in any bridal editorial. Married on an absolutely perfect early September afternoon, the couple straddle summer and fall perfectly. Bright flowers and tablescapes kept the summer dream alive, while wooden barrel bars and dreamy lighting hinted at the autumnal equinox not far away.
After a magical sunset, the newlyweds and their guests celebrated and danced to the sounds of Encore. Good thing the wedding was surrounded by miles of picturesque nature, because this party lasted all night long!
Jayme and Cory held their wedding festivities in the quaint seaside town of Chatham, a place that has a very special meaning to Jayme’s family. They chose the stunning Chatham Bars Inn for their reception in hopes that their guests could truly take in all that the Cape has to offer. And while the day may have started out with a few raindrops it transformed into an afternoon of summer perfection. While a light breeze drifted off the ocean, Cory and Jayme along with their guests enjoy the beautiful sunshiney day… and night as they danced away to The Connection!!
Great wedding band reviews are common here at Wilson Stevens, but sometimes a client goes above and beyond in praise of our artists. So once a month we like to feature our favorite, most touching, or just downright thoughtful testimonials on the Blog.
Wentworth by the Sea Wedding – March 12, 2016, New Castle, NH
“I just wanted to take a moment to say wow! I can’t tell you the compliments we have received from every one of our guests regarding Beantown last evening. Your music and your performance or fabulous! As you could tell, we had a crowd that spanned the age gamut. You captured everyone’s attention and enjoyment.
We succeeded in what we had set out to accomplish which was a great meal, an awesome band and a wonderful party for our guests. Thank you for being part of it!”
Morton’s Steakhouse Wedding – March 4, 2016, Boston, MA
“Um, SPLASH! KILLED IT… they were INCREDIBLE! Please pass along our sincerest thanks to all of the members of the band and tell them every single person there had nothing but the most positive things to say. I have girls coming up asking me for their name even before they’re engaged! Absolutely best wedding band ever. Loved every single second. Thank you SO much!!!!!”
