Edgar, a Berklee College of Music Presidential scholar, is a tenor saxophonist, pianist and composer from Coamo, Puerto Rico. Edgar began playing the saxophone at the age of 12. The young talent quickly grabbed the attention of Berklee College of Music, and was awarded a full scholarship to the school’s 5 Week Summer Performance Program, 3 times in a row. Edgar then began touring around the world, playing in places such as Florida, California, Massachusetts, Kentucky, Canada, Italy, México, Dominican Republic Panama, and performed in several Jazz Festivals including the Panama Jazz Fest, Montreal Jazz Fest, Monterrey Jazz Fest and others. Edmar has also performed with artists including Joe Lovano, John Patittucci, Danilo Pérez, Hal Crook, Miguel Zenón, Dave Liebman, Kenny Werner, Lionel Louke, John Michel Pilc, David Sanchez, Arturo Sandoval, Michel Camilo, Eddie Palmieri, George Garzone Lionel Loueke, Luis Enrique and Ismael Miranda, Ivan Lins, Steve Cardenas, among others great artists of several musical styles and genres.
