music was incredible Anne Bertolet Mountain Top Inn Wedding - June 3, 2017 - Chittendon, VT

Performance Review:

1) Quality of Music: Excellent. We received many, many compliments on the band. From everyone! Including the photographers and other vendors. The music was incredible and they knew how to get a party going. It was beautiful all night long. They learned the songs we requested for the main dances, including “de-countrifying” one song, which was very impressive!

2) Choice of Music: Excellent. Colin gave us a list of all the songs they could play, and we went through and marked our favorites. They did a great job playing all the songs we loved and really making it a good party.

3) Grooming & Attire: Dressed great, no complaints here.

4) Emceeing: Excellent. Their emceeing was excellent. They controlled the flow of the party well and announced all the events when they had to. They did a great job introducing the wedding party and ensuring the flow went smoothly.

5) Break Schedule: Excellent. Perfect break schedule. We had guests who didn’t realize the band ever stopped playing for break.

6) Use Wilson Stevens again? Yes.

7) Use artist again?: Yes. Colin was great. He engaged us early in the process and made sure things were handled smoothly. As the event approached he went through every step of the process and made sure things were just as we wanted.

a truly unforgettable night! Kelly & Jimmy Ng Castle Hill & Resort Wedding - October 23, 2016 - Newport, RI

Thank you and the rest of the “Groovin’ You” team for making our wedding a truly unforgettable night! We had so much fun with the band. We loved that we were dancing and singing with our guests. Our friends and family keep telling us how incredible the music was. Can’t wait to see you all in action again soon!

the best wedding Christine Gunn Wentworth By The Sea Country Club Wedding - July 18, 2016 - Rye, NH

Groovin’ You played at our July wedding, and they were absolutely fantastic! We went to see them play at a downtown Boston bar, and after the first song, we knew we wanted to hire them. The band was super accommodating and flexible, and Colin was in constant communication with us leading up to the wedding. Our wedding night was so much fun because of Groovin’ You. They did an amazing job learning our first dance song. They played a great mix of music – oldies and new songs, and really kept the party going all night long. They had such great energy and really interacted with all the guests. Due to some unforeseen weather, our venue extended the reception for an extra half hour, and the band agreed to stay for a small fee, which was really appreciated. Everyone at the reception kept telling us how amazing the band was and that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We would absolutely recommend Groovin’ You!

AWESOME entertainment Stephanie Tilders Tupper Manor Wedding - May 28, 2016 - Beverly, MA

One of the major keys to having a fun, memorable wedding is AWESOME entertainment. Groovin’ You delivered just that for us and our guests at our wedding. Thankfully, I had seen the band perform before so I had no concerns about their talent and ability to bring the party with them. They did not disappoint as they kept the dance floor full from start to finish, carefully selecting the appropriate music to perform based on time of night/ crowd on the floor. The diversity in music they bring is so impressive— They are great at catering to what the crowd needs to hear. They were fantastic to work with, and after researching 10 or so bands, we found Groovin’ You to be a serious value given their skill and cost. Thank You to the whole Groovin’ You team for making our wedding celebration so memorable!

youthful aesthetic and superior musicianship Brian Brutzman Talamore Country Club Wedding - April 23, 2016 - Ambler, PA

We had seen a number of wedding bands before we happened upon Groovin’ You at a bar in Boston. The entire bar was jumping, and we wished that our wedding band could have this kind of energy. None of the bands we had seen were able to move the crowd or put forth the kind of youthful aesthetic and superior musicianship that we were looking for. When they said they would travel to Philadelphia, we knew we had found the perfect band. As a musician myself, it was important to me that Groovin’ You perform the song I had written for my wife at our first dance. Not only did they learn it, they arranged it in such a way that it exceeded my wildest expectations. There was not a dry eye in the house. They were up front, professional, and executed with flair. Months later, we are still hearing from our guests about how “THAT BAND” was the highlight of the entire event. We’re thinking about renewing our vows next year just so they can come play again 🙂 We could not recommend Groovin’ You more highly. They are the best wedding band that we – or any of our guests – had ever seen and an absolute pleasure to work with.

stop searching and hire them Eric Matthews The Mountain Top Inn Wedding - April 9, 2016 - Chittenden, VT

We finalized our wedding date in late November 2015 for an early April 2016 wedding. Without much time, we started to research bands and seemed lost and confused. While we were at our wedding venue’s food tasting, I was interviewing a possible photographer and I asked him who his favorite bands were to listen to while shooting. Without hesitation, the reply was “Groovin’ You are all the way from boston, but young, energetic and totally worth it!” From there, we seemed like we had a lead. Colin was easy to communicate with and helped us get into one of their live shows in Newport. In short time, they had the entire Newport House of Blues up and dancing. With three different lead vocalists hitting different genres of music, we knew they would be a hit! After hiring them they were easy to work with. They want to read the crowd and I could tell they made adjustments to play songs that would get people up dancing. They perfected the swing song we did our first dance to and it was amazing! Being in our mid 30’s we wanted an energetic band that our friends and family would enjoy hearing and want to get up and dance. Groovin’ You exceeded our expectations and were worth the cost! I strongly recommend that you stop searching and hire them as well!

Groovin' You was fantastic Yvonne O’Brien The Canoe Club Wedding - November 14, 2015 - East Bridgewater, MA

Groovin’ You were absolutely incredible. I married the man of my dreams in November (2015) and Groovin’ You helped make the day perfect. First of all, they were so easy to work with. They responded to all my emails very quickly and were super helpful with all of my questions and requests. Our dance and the parent dances were all songs that were not on their song list (which is incredibly long). They had no problem performing them for us. They made the show truly for us. They did mashups of my favorite pop artists, they played TSwift for me and had me do the rap from Shake it Off with them (it was amazing!), and finally had us up on stage for the last song to sing. Groovin’ You was fantastic and if you are even thinking about getting a band, DO IT! They really completed the night.

truly blown away! Kelsey Tighe The Inn at Round Barn Wedding - October 21, 2015 - Whitfield, VT

Groovin’ You performed at our wedding in August and we were truly blown away! Not only is the band extremely talented, but they also know how to make a crowd come alive! We loved every second of their performance. They got all our guests up and dancing, both young and old. Colin really listened to the types of music we wanted played and the band took that and ran with it- selecting the perfect mix of songs to entertain our guests. What’s also great about them is that they’re a young fun group, which means they’re able to play the latest music on the radio and not just the older more classic wedding tunes. We also had a few members perform during our cocktail hour, which was the perfect addition! Having moved out of state, it was very difficult to research and find vendors remotely. This band came with the highest of recommendations from the various venues we visited as well as from some of our friends who had attended weddings with the band in the past. They are great communicators and stay on top of all your needs. Our guests are still raving about Groovin’ You and we could not have been more happy with their performance.

Best Band Ever David Parker The Intervale Wedding - September 19, 2015 - Burlington, VT

Best Band Ever, everyone at the wedding was blown away. They are a fabulous artist, know a ridiculous amount of songs and are super entertaining.

WORTH.EVERY.PENNY. Jennifer Ludgin Eugene O’Neil Theatre Center Wedding - September 12, 2015 - Waterford, CT

You guys DO NOT DISAPPOINT!!! We had been telling people about the amazing band that we had hired for our wedding for the last year and people said that you were even better than they expected (obviously!)!! We believe the common question was “WHERE did you guys find this band?!?!”

We had such an amazing wedding and you guys were a huge reason for that. You’re all so talented & put on such an amazing performance.

Thank you again for making our wedding such a fun and memorable party. We hope to run into you guys again in the future & plan to recommend you to all of our friends and family for their future events.

WORTH.EVERY.PENNY.

10 out of 10. David Spitzer Elm Bank Horticultural Society Wedding - September 6, 2015 - Wellesley, MA

Groovin’ You is a PHENOMENAL band. We hired them to perform at our wedding on September 6th, 2015, after hearing of them from a friend and seeing them perform live once in Boston. Could not have been happier with their performance. Whether it is Stevie Wonder, Pink, Maroon 5, Katy Perry, Jay-Z, the Beatles, Bon Jovi, or Taylor Swift that you want them to play, they do it all, and they do it really, really, really well.

Not only did they bring an unbelievable amount of energy and fun, they were incredibly accommodating. They learned a ton of Jewish music to play for our Hora, which I believe lasted around 20 minutes. Naturally, we were initially worried about the band’s ability to learn music with which they were not previously familiar, but they performed these songs flawlessly. We were so impressed!

I only gave them 4.5 stars on value (as opposed to a perfect 5/5 on everything else) because they were slightly more expensive than some of the other options out there. HOWEVER, I think a good band is the #1 ingredient to ensure you and all other wedding-goers have a blast. You can try and save a few bucks here or there on decorations, caterer, etc. but I would NOT recommend trying to save on the band. You can’t really put a price on the dozens of people coming up to you at your wedding saying how awesome the band is, and how much fun they’re having dancing and singing along!

I would recommend Groovin’ You 10 times out of 10.

a great party. Paul Brewer The Woodstock Inn Wedding - August 29, 2015 - Woodstock, VT

I would recommend Groovin’ You to anyone looking for a great party. The band was energetic and encouraged a lively atmosphere. They were flexible all along the way to our wedding as we continuously adjusted our reception schedule and plan. We provided the band some songs we liked and they took it and ran with the night, keeping people on the dance floor all night. We received countless compliments about how great the band was. Some guests even asked for the contact information so they could potentially use them in the future. Groovin You made our wedding special, and I would recommend them to anyone that wants their guests to have a good time.

I can’t say enough about Groovin' You Taylor Marchi Gunstock Mountain Resort Wedding - August 22, 2015 - Gilford, NH

Our wedding day was THE BEST DAY EVER because of Groovin’ You! From the energy, the professionalism, the talent to the band members themselves, I cannot say enough about these guys. Our wedding guests were blown away at how awesome the band was. We got married Aug 22nd, 2015 at Gunstock Mountain in New Hampshire. We had a summit ceremony and we had the band play AT the summit. This meant strapping amps, instruments and themselves to the chairlift to the top. We had them play an acoustic set for the summit ceremony and it was absolutely PERFECT. They jammed’ out while our guests were arriving and it set a perfect mood. Our wedding party then walked down the aisle to an acoustic version of “One Love” by Bob Marley and I walked down to “Better Together by Jack Johnson” – all performed live. The band also provided the sound & mics for there ceremony and the quality was top notch. Our reception was a kickass party and it was all thanks to these guys. From emcee’ing the entrances, dances and more – everything was perfect. They played the perfect mix of songs and there were more than 100 people on the dancefloor! They kept the energy up for 3+ hours. All of our wedding guests kept saying “that was THE BEST wedding band we have ever seen” – my husband and I couldn’t agree more. I also want to make a note about their professionalism pre-and-post wedding. Colin was absolutely fantastic to work with running through the contract and payment terms. I can’t say enough about Groovin’ You – we love you guys!

best decision we ever made Kori and Jeremy Bennett Longlook Farm Wedding - August 15, 2015 - Sanbornton, NH

My wife and I hired Groovin You! after seeing them at a wedding band showcase. We had originally gone to see a different band, but after seeing them, they blew us away. We booked them the next day and it was the best decision we ever made. We wanted our wedding to stand out, so we got a good caterer and a venue on a mountain top in a barn…but the only thing people couldnt stop talking about was the band. They were absolutely incredible. Honestly it was the best decision we made for our wedding, and it makes SUCH a difference having a band over a DJ. They played our ceremony perfectly and even learned our first dance song for us. Colin and the Groovin you band are absolutely unbelievable and i cant stress enough that they were the reason our wedding was a huge hit with all of our friends and family.

Colin and the rest of you at Groovin you- You’re awesome and we cant thank you all enough for making our wedding unforgettable! We will DEFINITELY be coming to your shows around boston.

they won't disappoint. Dmitriy Iokhvid Cambridge Multi-Cultural Arts Center Wedding - July 18, 2015 - Cambridge, MA

Groovin’ You absolutely rocked our wedding. These guys really know how to read the crowd and keep the party going. Their extensive repertoire allows to go in a number of directions. We loved their energy from the very first time we heard them, and our guests are still talking about the band weeks after the wedding. The group is also very professional and easy to work with – we had a family member perform, and they were more than willing to accommodate, including making arrangements prior to the event. We would absolutely recommend Groovin’ You – they won’t disappoint.

danced the night away. Audrey Blanchette Tabor Academy Wedding - June 20, 2015 - Marion, MA

Groovin’ You was great! Everyone at our wedding had a blast and danced the night away. The band was really flexible with the set up, as set up had to happen really early (ceremony and reception were on the same lawn). We would highly recommend friends to use Groovin’ You. They made the party at our wedding.

best night of our lives Chris & Justina Gaeta Searles Castle Wedding - June 6, 2015 - Wyndham, NH

Groovin’ You made our day extra special. Our guests literally have not stopped talking about this group! When Justina and I booked them for our wedding we knew our guests were in for a treat but they exceeded our expectations exponentially.

We have a bunch of videos of all of our friends dancing that we can’t stop watching. We are going to relive that night over and over again! Groovin’ You were a huge part of the best night of our lives-Not only were two best friends able to marry one another, but we got to rock out to awesome music and party with the closest 200 people in our lives! The dance floor was slammed all night long!

Also, the way they all interacted with our guests made us feel as though we had a group of old friends playing at our wedding. I am glad you guys stopped by the after party for a bit, it was great to chat with all of you. You all are stars and have a bright future ahead!

Thanks again!

they absolutely MADE our wedding! Laura & Colin Masters Rosecliff Mansion Wedding - August 16, 2014 - Newport, RI

I cannot recommend Groovin’ You highly enough – they absolutely MADE our wedding! Now, even months after our big day, our friends and our parents’ friends still rave about Groovin’ You. Every single member of the band is incredibly talented. My husband and I met through music and have a lot of friends in bands, and people who are much more musically inclined than me commented on their knock-out talent and professionalism. I just knew they helped us throw a rocking party! They knew a plethora of songs, from the latest pop numbers to Frank Sinatra. They learned two songs for us – for our first dance and the cake cutting – and did those fantastically. Once the dancing got started, they did not take a single break! (Seriously, no break.) A family friend noted that they transitioned from one song to the next without a pause – like a DJ would – which really kept the energy and fun going. What I loved was how interactive they were with the crowd, coming out and dancing with everyone. My little cousins definitely had crushes on the lead singers by the night’s end! They had us give them a list of our favorite, must-play songs, and I noted that they only played those ones when my husband and I were in the ballroom dancing rather than outside talking – a very nice touch. They pulled us up on stage for the last song and had us look out at all our loved ones and the scene, and I will forever be grateful to them for giving us that wonderful mental image. At the end of the the night, all the guests were chanting “one more song! one more song!” which just goes to show you how much everyone loved them.

A few additional details I wanted to know while band browsing: They did a three piece ensemble for the cocktail hour outside for us in addition to the full band for dinner and dancing. We had them add a saxaphonist to the regular six piece band, which was awesome if you like that, but probably not even necessary because their sound was so full. They had both a male and female soloist. They brought their own lighting, so we did not need to also get uplighting. They walked into our venue for the first time 2 hours before the event (it was a museum so we had limited set up time) and perfectly worked with the acoustics to have the appropriate sound levels. Go with Groovin You for your event, you will not be sorry! Thank you again Colin and the gang!

fun and memorable Julie and Scott Krauss Portsmouth Harbor Event Center Wedding - August 2, 2014 - Portsmouth, NH

Seriously you guys were the hit of the night. We cannot thank you enough for making our wedding so fun and memorable. We had some pretty strange requests and you accommodated them all AND knocked them out of the park. You guys not only sounded great, you interacted with and were able to read the crowd- which was made up of all age groups. All of our guest could not stop raving about how awesome you were. Anytime you guys were playing, the dance floor was packed. We cannot thank you enough and can’t wait to see you guys play again!

high energy dance party Aron Zingman Camp Cody Wedding - May 25, 2014 - Freedom, NH

I’m not kidding. Five months after the wedding I had a crazy dream that we had to redo our wedding because the marriage license wasn’t valid and this time we didn’t have time to plan. Everything was going wrong and in my dream I was upset that we that we didn’t have our the band in the redo of the wedding. I told my wife when I woke up and she said she had a dream about Groovin’ You also. They made an impression. Thank you so much for everything. Seriously, you guys ROCK!

Groovin’ You was AMAZING! They are skilled young musicians. They know classics, they know new stuff. It feels like they are a group of fun friends at your dance party, not just a band up on a stage. SUPER high energy dance party. Everyone loved the band.

best wedding our guests had ever been to. Christina and Bob Miller Glen Magna Farms Wedding - July 6, 2013 - Danvers, MA

I cannot thank you enough for putting on the best wedding our guests had ever been to. People can’t stop talking about how wonderful you guys were. You sounded awesome, you got people dancing we thought would never dance, and you played stuff that added at the last minute– you made us so happy and helped create an event we will never forget. I look forward to our next big soiree so we can turn to you guys once more!

dance floor was packed Colleen & Kevin Grady New England Aquarium Wedding - May 18, 2013 - Boston, MA

I would highly recommend hiring Groovin’ You if you are looking for a fun event! They played at our wedding at the New England Aquarium and our guests were so impressed by their musical talent and interaction with the crowd. All of the band members were very professional, and they met all our requests for songs. They also had to meet specific requests of our event location, and everything ran very smoothly. Our dance floor was packed, and guests continue to tell us how much fun they had and how impressed they were with the band. Some have also asked where we found them and how they can hire them too! They played a big part in making our wedding a great time!

Can’t wait to have you back next year! Sarah Marchand, Northeastern University Northeastern Univesity Event - April 13, 2012 - Boston, MA

We’re so excited the event fell into place. Thank you for being so patient and understanding during a somewhat chaotic process. You sounded great! We didn’t believe that you needed a dance floor, but by the end of the night you proved us wrong! Can’t wait to have you back next year!
