Jenn- Trumpet, Trombone and Vocals
In 2012, Jenn received a dual Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Composition and Trumpet Performance from Berklee College of Music, where she studied with Tiger Okoshi, Phil Wilson, Christine Fawson, Greg Hopkins, and Ken Pullig. Jenn completed her graduate studies at the New England Conservatory May of 2014, receiving her Master’s of Music Degree in Jazz Composition. During her time at NEC, she studied privately with Ken Schaphorst, Laurie Frink, and Mal Barsamian. While at NEC Jenn was selected for a paid teaching fellowship through the Community Performance Partnerships program.
Jenn has had the honor of sharing the stage with artists like Paula Cole, Ben E. King, Kendrick Scott, Julian Lage, Anat Cohen, Lew Soloff, Lalah Hathaway, Mulatu Astatke, Pepe de Lucia, Simon Shaheen, Javier Limon, and others.
As an educator, Jenn has experience teaching brass, music theory, ear training, and improvisation to pupils ages 7 and up. She is currently working as a one-on-one aide and tutor at Berklee College of Music. Jenn has taught at the Performing Arts Center Metrowest, the Margarita Muñiz Academy, and at NMC Academy & Studios.
