Arranger, Violist & Leader Julian

Julian is a violinist from Cleveland, OH. Committed to using the violin creatively, he is equally at home in classical, modern, rock, and experimental settings.

Julian began playing violin at the age of four, inspired by listening to his great grandfather, Murray Feldman, perform with the Pittsburgh Symphony and on Mister Roger's Neighborhood. This childhood fascination quickly became serious; Julian studied violin with Stephen Majeske, principal second of the Cleveland Orchestra, while training and performing internationally with friends and family as part of the performing group the Agnon Five.

As a student at Oberlin Conservatory, Julian studied violin performance with Milan Vitek and contributed strings to myriad rock, bluegrass, and experimental groups. In 2012, Julian received a fellowship at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he studied Hindustani music with Nepali tabla master Hom Nath Upadyhaya. He has performed nationally and internationally with ensembles such as the Chautauqua Festival Orchestra, the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra, and Cleveland Opera Circle, and toured the US with the rock band Viewers Of.

Julian currently resides in Boston, where he is active as a performer, arranger and session musician.

Violinist Anna

Anna is a Boston-based violist. She began classical training in high school but shortly after graduating, began exploring styles ranging from jazz to rock to hip-hop and pop. She is currently completing a degree in music business management at Berklee College of Music. As an active freelancer, she has worked with artists such as Thirty Seconds to Mars, Vitamin String Quartet, Wyclef Jean, Dream Theater, in addition to dozens of local artists. Her recording work can be found on commercials, film, and on TV shows such as Gossip Girl and Modern Family, Baskets, as well as on the entire soundtrack for newly released Final Fantasy XV. In 2014, Anna appeared as part of a string quartet on stage with the Boston Ballet for their production of Alexander Ekman’s “Cacti” at the Boston Opera House and then again during their tour to Lincoln Center. She rejoined Boston Ballet as they performed “Cacti” again in 2017.

Cellist Eden

With a traditional classical background, Eden grew up composing and playing cello from the age of 4. While she was attracted to the virtuosity of traditional string playing, she was unsatisfied with the diminutive range of techniques you can employ in a standard repertoire.

Eden began delving into many other genres by the age of 12, including pop, jazz, rock, and most intimately, heavy metal. She caught the rock bug at 14, playing in the cello section in the Contemporary Youth Orchestra, who recorded a live album and DVD with classic rock band STYX the same year. She won the “Outstanding Performance” award for her work with the orchestra. Soon after, her string arrangements of rock songs were published professionally.

At the age of 17, she began attending Berklee College of Music on partial scholarship and enjoyed a new-found career as a session performer, recording and arranging with artists such as Wyclef Jean and Vinnie Ferra.
