Great wedding band reviews are common here at Wilson Stevens, but sometimes a client goes above and beyond in praise of our artists. So once a month we like to feature our favorite, most touching, or just downright thoughtful testimonials on the Blog

EYE2EYE

Private Residence Wedding – September 19, 2015, Bourne, MA

Performance Review:

1) Quality of Music: Excellent. Eye 2 Eye was amazing! Our guests are still commenting that it’s the best wedding band they’ve ever seen, and we agree! We could not be happier with their performance! The dance floor was packed all night, and the guests had the sweat to show it!

2) Choice of Music: Excellent.

3) Grooming and Attire: Excellent.

4) Emceeing: Excellent.

5) Break Schedule: Excellent.

6) Use Wilson Stevens again? Yes. Tim Wilson was extremely helpful prior to the event recommending format for the ceremony and cocktail hour.

7) Use artist again?: Yes. Everybody in the band we dealt with was extremely helpful. During the day of the wedding we still had some final details on the logistics to work out which the band members were extremely helpful in figuring out.

Everything about Eye 2 Eye and Wilson Stevens was perfect! Thank you!

ONE STEP AHEAD

Chatham Bars Inn Wedding – October 3, 2015, Chatham, MA

“One Step Ahead absolutely nailed it! Almost every single person told me in the days following our wedding how much they enjoyed the band. We basically had a hurricane outside and the band completely made the party. The dance floor was packed the entire time. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we were ready to pay to have the band continue for another hour if our venue would have allowed it. Thank you!!”

-Dana Bongiovanni

PROTEGE

Private Residence Wedding – October 10, 2015, Holden, MA

“There are no words to describe how happy my husband and I were with Wilson Stevens and Protege. Protege completely knocked it out of the park – they made our wedding reception everything we wanted it to be. Guests young and old were out on the dance floor all night. The theme of the evening – ‘I need their information; I’m having them at my wedding!!’ Thank You Protege for making our wedding reception a night we will never forget.”

-Lindsey Campbell

With Hurricane Joaquin circling the Northeast this weekend, we figured what better time to share our thoughts on what many may consider a wedding day disaster: rain. Justin Wilson, Operations Manager here at Wilson Stevens Productions, shares his thoughts…

No one knows better than me the high hopes for cooperative weather on your big day. Countless weddings, many of which take place under tents, are planned with sunny skies in mind. But alas, weather doesn’t always oblige to the dismay of many families. But from my own personal experience performing at weddings, rainy day events are anything but disappointing…

Your guests, venue and all members of your team know that inclement weather wasn’t your ideal scenario. As a result I’ve seen time and time again that everyone involved will rally together to replace rainy weather with sheer joy. That may sound corny, but it’s true. One of the best, most over-the-top wedding receptions I’ve ever performed took place during a hurricane. Literally. Nothing makes guests and vendors want to support you more or work harder than rain on your wedding day. The result is a joyous occasion where everyone comes together to take the fun, excitement and joy to a new level.

So while we won’t blame you if you hope for sun, don’t be surprised when your special day isn’t the least bit dampened by inclement weather.”

And when all else fails, keep in mind the gorgeous photos that can result when Mother Nature intervenes! Check out what some of our favorite photographers captured when weather had other plans:

BEANTOWN

Wellesley Country Club Wedding – July 25, 2015, Wellesley, MA

Anita,

Words cannot express our gratitude for the major role Beantown played in our dream wedding on Saturday ion Wellesley. Right from the beginning music was a central component to our vision and that’s why we knew we had to have Beantown — however you exceeded all of our expectations.

You did an amazing job reading the room, choosing songs, and giving our guests he night of their lives ( I wouldn’t be surprised if you get some requests from our out of town guests to hire you!!).

The sound was perfect, and you guys nailed every song– including our first dance!!!! It was exactly how we hoped it would be to set the tone for be evening. Thank you as well for learning Ballerina Girl and creating an edit for the mother son dance — some people did not even realize it was a recording!!! And of course, CountryRoads and the encore of Rosalita was the icing on the cake (wedding pun).

You are all amazing and I cannot believe how lucky we were to have you guys. From the bottom of our hearts we are so grateful to everything. Not that you need them but if you ever need a reference for anything please let us know!!!

Thank you again!!!

Best,
Katie and John

ENCORE

Danversport Yacht Club Wedding – July 25, 2015, Danvers, MA

Encore was amazing!! We could not have chosen a better band for our wedding! We have received countless comments from guests raving about the band. Encore really went above and beyond interacting with and working the crowd by being on the dance floor almost the entire night. This really makes them stand out from other bands we have seen perform and really made the entire night. Thank you thank you thank you for making our wedding night the best it could have possibly been!!

-Lindsay Bigda

THE HUB

Popponesset Inn Wedding – August 29, 2015, New Seabury, MA

Our heartfelt thanks to The Hub for making our wedding night so special! The band generously and enthusiastically met and then exceeded our expectations, from specific song requests to guiding the flow of the evening to keeping the energy up and our guests on the dance floor. Our guests refused to leave without an encore at the end of the night–they could have danced to The Hub’s music all night long, until the sun rose the next morning!

BOSS

Private Residence Wedding – August 22, 2015, Concord, NH

Performance Review:

1) Quality of Music: Excellent. The band was out of this world. They really felt the crowd and kept the energy up ALL night!

2) Choice of Music: Excellent. Overall it was wonderful, the one thing my guests commented on (I didn’t notice) was that the band didn’t play any slow songs. That could have been an oversight in our communication to the band though.

3) Grooming and Attire: Excellent. Great looking crowd!

4) Emceeing: Excellent. Absolutely fantastic- nothing too cheesy, just the right bit of flair!

5) Break Schedule: Excellent. They worked well with my wedding planner to coordinate their breaks so we could do the Greek dancing.

6) Use Wilson Stevens again? Yes. Miles was very easy to get a hold of and communicate with.

7) Use artist again?: Yes. My husband and I, along with our guests, cannot stop raving about the band. Literally every person I have spoken to since my wedding has RAVED about how amazing they were. Although expensive, it was worth every penny!!!

So often wedding blogs are filled with gorgeous still photos that we forget about an equally important method of capturing memories. We’re thrilled to feature this gorgeous film of Shannon and Dennis’ recent wedding with Beantown by Chris Walsh Productions.

Chris Walsh loves making wedding films, which is clear when you review his lush and poignant works of art. He’s been making brides happy for over 10 years. Chris and his team are dedicated to capturing your story; the story of your wedding day, and all your friends and family that came to share it with you.

Of course no wedding day is complete without fantastic entertainment, and Chris captured some amazing moments of Shannon and Dennis and their guests rocking out to Beantown on the dance floor. Check out the whole film and join in on the dance party at the 3:50 mark.

This wedding featured a lot more beautiful touches which can be viewed on Rebecca Arthurs Photography‘s blog.
