The selection for dinner music was wonderful !" 2) Choice Of Music: "excellent" - "We had told them what we wanted played and what we did not want and they followed perfectly." 3) Grooming and Attire: "excellent" 4) emceeing : "Excellent" 5) Break Schedule: "Excellent" - "They did exactly what they said. After their dinner break, only one break for the entire night. People got tired from dancing so much." Many people came up to us at wedding to say how great SEARCH PARTY was. They couldn't believe how good they were and how many people were up dancing. Their was another event at the same hotel and people from that event were wishing they had our band. I even had a couple of people ask how they could book them so you might be hearing from a few people. Thank you very much for the great job you did. It turned out to be such a fun night.
I wanted to thank you in writing for making our wedding reception at the Hawthorne in Salem, Ma. on November 5th a truly memorable experience for us all. You went far beyond the call of duty by learning an original tune that I (the groom) wrote and asked you to play for our first dance - and performing it flawlessly. As a musician myself, I found the level of musicianship of the entire band quite intimidating. I could have sat and watched you guys all night - except that I was dancing, like everyone else in the room! You kept our guests out on the floor (even during dinner!), and paced the selection of songs perfectly. You put our wedding party at ease when we were preparing to be introduced, and your professionalism, accommodating our various song and guest-singer requests, was outstanding. Anyone even considering a DJ for their Big Day must see one of your sets first! We've been to a few weddings with DJ's recently, and believe me; the energy and vibe of the party that you guys create put the celebration in a whole other league. We got more comments on the great band than we did on the (custom-made) bride's gown - and that's saying something! Charlie, I just wanted to thank you again for the great job on Saturday night at the BC Club. You folks are terrific! Many of my guests commented that it was the best wedding music they had ever encountered. Most interesting was one of the staff members of the BC club told me that he works all the weddings there, and in his opinion, they have never had a better band! After the solemnities are over, it's important for the guests and wedding party to breathe, relax and start celebrating. From the cocktail music right through the multi-decade, multi -style music that you provided for our daughter Kate and new son-in-law Greg's wedding at Castle Hill on May 28, you created the perfect atmosphere. I speak not only from an "atmospheric" viewpoint, but also in deep appreciation of your fine musicianship as well. It was the perfect ending to a great day. - Kari Because we currently live abroad, we selected Search Party from their song list and CD, so we were thrilled to hear how amazing they sounded live. They're rendition of "Tupelo Honey" might, we think, was better than the original. They had us and our guests dancing all night... and had our friends asking for details on how they could sign the band to play for their weddings. They also played a wonderful mix of songs and took note of our requests, even learning a new piece (and adapting another) for us. We've heard raves from everyone from my great aunt to our 20-something friends. And--and this was important to us--they didn't act like a wedding band (by giving overdone intros and such) but, at the same time, they made sure the night moved smoothly, with the special dances, toasts, etc. Everyone in the band was friendly and seemed to be having fun on stage, in addition to sounding fabulous. I imagine that helped contribute to the energy of the event. I'd recommend Search Party without hesitation! It was a struggle from the beginning of my planning to make the decision between a DJ and a band, and I really wanted a band. I am sure that you have heard this a million times, but my biggest fear was getting a true 'Wedding Band, ' one that was cheesy and awful. Your group could not have been any more the opposite. Sincerely, Charlie, The performance Search Party gave during our wedding reception on October 12th at the Charles River Country Club exceeded all expectations. Our guests were raving about the great music, and how the band kept things moving at just the right pace without overpowering the room. You succeeded in getting "Nana", my two nephews and just about everyone in between on the dance floor, with just the quality of the music and energy of the band. Your advice and reassurances during the busy planning stage were also much appreciated. A definite dance-floor highlight was Dirty Water by the Standells, a Boston classic and favorite among the Red Sox faithful, played excellently and expertly timed for the American League Championship Series against the Yankees Denise and I have already recommended Search Party unconditionally for a friend's wedding, and would do so again without hesitation. Thanks for a wonderful job on Saturday night. You guys truly delivered. You had rave reviews from everybody, young and old. I was very, very impressed. People danced and loved the energy. My dad was floored by the Four Seasons tune and, of course, Midnight Train to Georgia. Colleen told Rebecca that Search Party was one of the best bands she's ever seen at the Wilburton. We had seen you twice before and specifically marked Friday on our calendar so we would not miss you. (We were mostly dancing in the front - my friend has blond hair and I have dark hair. I'm sure you see a million people dancing at your shows, so that probably doesn't make us stand out much, but you might remember!) We have not found many bands in the area that we like to dance to, so when we saw you for the first time last year, we made it a point to remember your name.
